King Sfiso Sibiya, a well-known voice on air, said he decided to step away from radio presenting after Ukhozi FM did not include his name in its newly announced line-up.
In a statement, Sfiso wrote:
“With a heavy heart and immense gratitude, I share the news of my departure from Ukhozi FM. The past seven years have been a remarkable journey, filled with moments of joy and invaluable lessons that have shaped me in ways I never anticipated.
My time at Ukhozi FM truly reflects the idea that we can make plans, but sometimes it is a higher power that directs our path. I intended to join this wonderful station at a different stage in my career, yet when the opportunity arose, I could not turn it down.”
King Sfiso said the platform allowed him to connect with many remarkable people who became like family to him.
“I want to express my heartfelt appreciation to the listeners of Ukhozi FM. Your support and engagement have meant the world to me. We have shared laughs and tears, creating bonds that I will always cherish.
To my dear colleagues, thank you for your unwavering support, your patience with my quirks, and the love you have shown me.
I will carry those memories with me as I move on. I will be taking a break from radio for a few months, but you can be sure that you will be the first to know when I am back behind the mic again.”
