Fifi Cooper Suspends 1 Night With Fifi Cooper Tour After GBV Incident, Carnival City Show Cancelled
Award-winning South African rapper Fifi Cooper has abruptly suspended her highly anticipated 1 Night With Fifi Cooper tour following what her record label has described as a personal matter relating to gender based violence (GBV).
The announcement has sent shockwaves through the local entertainment industry, bringing an immediate halt to one of the country’s most anticipated live music tours. The decision comes as the artist steps away from the spotlight to focus on her personal safety and the wellbeing of her family.
In an official statement, MoCooper Records confirmed that all upcoming tour activities and promotional engagements have been suspended with immediate effect.
The label said the decision was made to prioritise the safety and wellbeing of Fifi Cooper and her loved ones during what it described as an extremely difficult period.
As a result, two major performances have been cancelled.
The affected dates are:
- 25 July at the Mardi Gras Theatre, Carnival City, Gauteng.
- 1 August in Mahikeng, North West.
MoCooper Records said information regarding possible rescheduled dates will be shared once new arrangements have been finalised.
Fans who have already purchased tickets will not be required to submit refund requests. The label confirmed that official ticketing partners have already been instructed to begin processing automatic full refunds.
All refunds will be paid back to the original payment method used during purchase.
In an emotional message addressed to her loyal supporters, known as FIFINATION, Fifi Cooper apologised for the sudden changes and thanked fans for standing by her throughout her career.
“I am so deeply sorry that we have had to make these changes. I apologise for any disappointment caused. This was not my intention,” she said.
The rapper also reassured supporters that she intends to return stronger.
“I intend to come back stronger. I’ve always drawn so much strength from you and because of that I will face this with my head held high and leading with faith.”
While the label did not disclose further details surrounding the reported GBV-related matter, both Fifi Cooper and her management team have appealed for privacy as the artist and her family navigate this challenging chapter.
The announcement has prompted an outpouring of support from fans across social media, with many expressing hope for the musician’s recovery and eventual return to the stage.
For now, the future of the 1 Night With Fifi Cooper tour remains uncertain as supporters await further updates from MoCooper Records. The label has indicated that any announcements regarding new performance dates will be communicated through its official platforms once circumstances allow.
