Empowering communities through sport: INK-KASI Xperience announces annual women’s month activation
The 12th Annual INK-KASI Xperience Music Festival is fast approaching, and organizers are kicking off the celebrations with a powerful initiative aimed at community development and gender empowerment.
As part of its Corporate Social Investment (CSI) programme, the festival will host the highly anticipated INK-KASI Xperience Annual Women’s Month Edition on Saturday, 29 August 2026, at the Safe Hub in KwaMashu F Section.
Dedicated to celebrating women in honour of National Women’s Month, the event aligns with the impactful theme, “Women in Sports.”
The day is designed to merge physical wellness, competitive sports, and meaningful community dialogue into a vibrant, high-energy activation.
A Day of Fitness, Football, and Netball. The activation kicks off early in the morning, with registration opening at 6:30 am.
Participants can look forward to a dynamic itinerary packed with action:
Aerobics Boot Camp: A high-energy morning fitness session to get the community moving and energized.
All-Women’s Indoor Netball Match: A fast-paced, competitive showcase of local netball talent.
All-Women’s Football Match: A thrilling fixed indoor soccer tournament celebrating female athletes.
Throughout the sports matches and fitness sessions, local DJs and artists will keep the crowd energised, ensuring the community enjoys a festive, upbeat atmosphere.
Driving Development in the INK RegionBeyond the court and the pitch, the event serves a deeper purpose.
Organisers will host an engaging discussion forum focused on the socio-economic development of the INK (Inanda, Ntuzuma, and KwaMashu) region and surrounding areas.
The discussion will highlight how sports and targeted community events can serve as tools for youth development, safe spaces for women, and catalysts for positive social change.
