Media Statement KIMBERLEY – The multi-disciplinary Operation Vala Umgodi team comprising of, South African National Defence Force (SANDF) South African Police Service and Immigration officials arrested eight (8) undocumented foreign nationals for contravention of Immigration laws, during the execution of Operation Vala on Friday, 6 September 2024. The team, under the command of Colonel Kholakele Sontsi, were conducting disruptive actions in the Francis Baard District, when they received information regarding suspected undocumented individuals at a construction site in Long street in Kimberley.
The information was operationalised and eight men between the ages of 21 and 44 years old, were apprehended.
