Three accused have abandoned their bail application in the brutal murder case of 23 year old e hailing driver Isaac Satlat.
Dikeledi Tears Mphela, Goitsione Machidi and McClaren Mushwana appeared before the Pretoria Magistratesโ Court facing charges of premeditated murder and robbery with aggravating circumstances.
It is alleged that the suspects ordered an e hailing ride using a number not registered in their names. When the vehicle arrived, the driver was allegedly forced to stop and later strangled inside his own car. His cellphone and vehicle were taken. The vehicle was later recovered.
The shocking incident was reportedly captured by a camera installed inside the vehicle and the footage circulated widely on social media.
The matter has been postponed to 23 February 2026 for further investigations.
The National Prosecuting Authority says it remains committed to ensuring that perpetrators of violent crimes are brought to justice.
