DJ Skillz Withdraws From iPotsoyi ka Veegito Festival After Organiser Fails To Meet Contractual Obligations
South African DJ Skillz will no longer perform at the 5th Annual iPotsoyi ka Veegito Festival after his management team cancelled the booking, citing a breach of agreed contractual requirements by the event organisers.
The artist’s management agency, Supreme Music Group, confirmed the withdrawal in an official statement, stating that the decision followed the organiser’s failure to meet key obligations outlined in the performance agreement.
According to the statement, the booking was cancelled after Veegito Music did not fulfil the required artist arrangements and contractual commitments.
“DJ Skillz’s performance booking has been cancelled due to the organiser’s failure to meet the agreed artist requirements and obligations,” the management team said.
The festival was scheduled to take place on Saturday, 1 August 2026, at Urban Village Lounge in Idutywa, Eastern Cape. However, Supreme Music Group also raised concerns over a change in the event venue, stating that organisers moved the festival from the original location in Idutywa to a new venue in Enkwarini.
The sudden change and alleged failure to meet contractual conditions resulted in the cancellation of DJ Skillz’s appearance, leaving fans who had bought tickets disappointed.
Supreme Music Group apologised to members of the public and supporters who had expected to see the artist perform at the annual festival.
The agency did not provide further details about the specific contractual requirements that were not met, but confirmed that the decision was taken to protect the professional standards and agreements surrounding the artist’s performances.
The iPotsoyi ka Veegito Festival organisers have not yet publicly responded to the claims.
