We’re genuinely excited to share that Dhahabu Mining will be joining the Investing in African Mining Indaba 2026, taking place from 9–12 February at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC).
This premier event brings together investors, mining leaders, policymakers, and innovators from across the globe to discuss the big opportunities and real challenges in Africa’s mining sector. This year’s theme, “Stronger Together: Progress through Partnerships,” feels especially meaningful to us. It captures exactly what we’re all about: working hand-in-hand to drive real, lasting growth.
Our team is heading to Cape Town with a clear focus helping unlock the full potential of South Africa’s critical minerals, starting with chrome. We see chrome as a cornerstone for the country’s industrial growth, and we’re eager to explore how we can advance the entire value chain through smart innovation and genuine collaboration.
Who’s coming from our side?
Leading the charge will be two key members of our leadership team:
Mr. Arthur Quphe, our Founder and Chief Executive Officer. Arthur has poured his heart and expertise into building Dhahabu Mining into what it is today—a dynamic force spanning consulting, engineering, and mining operations. His vision keeps pushing us to make a real difference in South Africa’s mining landscape.
Mr. Lesetsa Michael Mabokela, Director of our Mining Division. With more than 20 years of hands-on experience as a process engineer across various commodities, Michael’s deep technical know-how ensures our projects are not only bold but built to the highest standards.
At the Indaba, we’ll be actively looking to:
- Connect with like-minded investors and technical partners who care about sustainable, responsible mining.
- Highlight our integrated approach that combines top-tier engineering with practical mining excellence.
- Jump into important conversations around policy, infrastructure, and where the global market is headed.
Since its start in 1994, Mining Indaba has been the go-to gathering for anyone serious about African mining. In a world that’s increasingly focused on sustainability, technology, and inclusive growth, we’re proud to be right in the middle of it bringing our strong local roots together with a forward-looking, global mindset.
As we like to say: “We don’t just mine; we build the systems that make mining better, safer, and more inclusive for South Africa.”
