Limpopo Province hotspots areas will be under severe policing this festive season.

The call was made by the Deputy Minister of Police Dr. Polly Boshielo, during her address to the officials at Mankweng Police station in Polokwane on Monday.
The Deputy Minister was conducting a Safer Festive Season Operations inspection in the province.
According to the police latest statistics, Four Policing areas such as Mankweg, Seshego, Polokwane, and Thoyandou have been ranked the most dangerous places in the province.
They have the highest murder and rape cases in the province and were listed amongst the top 30 nationwide.

” Thoyandou still tops in terms of rape. We can’t be known or feature on Top 30 in this province. We are the province of peace, ” said Deputy_ Minister of Police Dr. Polly Boshielo
Even though the Deputy_Minister was not officially welcomed by the Provincial Commissioner Lt General Thembe Hadebe, MEC for Transport and Community Safety Violet Mathye and Mayor of Polokwane John Mpe, during the parade. The purpose of the day could not be haulted.
All delegates joined the process later on.
Boshielo appealed to members of the SAPS to refrain from any collaborations with criminals.
” We are not going to tolerate any officer who collaborates with criminals. I want to say this colleagues. We can never ever share government or be ruled by criminals. ” she said
She further explained that law enforcement officers in all agencies and their lifestyles will be investigated.
” You can not be a police officer, traffic officer, or correctional officer who has a mansion in Sandton. It is not possible, ” said Boshielo
The Deputy_Minister acknowledged the challenges facing police officer at the highlighted Four hotspots areas and assured them that plans are in the pipelines to construct additional police stations and a Provincial Forensic Laboratory.
However, they need to pull up their socks and reduce the high level of murder and rape cases in the province.
After conducting a road block between ZCC Moria church (R71 road) and Polokwane town, she paid a visit to the survivors of rape and Gender Based violence at Mankweng Thuthuzela Care Center.
The centers are one_ stop facilities designed to provide comprehensive, compassionate care and support to survivors.
In the province, their allocated in Mankweng, Seshego, Nkhensani, Dilokong, Groblersdal, Musina, Tshilidzini and Mokopane hospitals.
The Deputy Minister donated items and toys in partnership with AVBOB.
When asked about a 44 year old Nkowa Nkowa woman who was arrested for operating prison facility at her own tavern, she was shocked and fascinated at the same time
” I want to visit her at Nkowa Nkowa. I need to talk to her, ” said Boshielo
With the high rate of abuse of alcohol in the province. Boshielo concluded her inspection by engaging with members of the community at Paledi Mall and urged them to safeguard their children this festive season. Because they are the most targeted individuals by rapists.
