12 December 2024 – The draws for the U17 and U20 FIFA Women’s World Cup were conducted earlier this afternoon by the Confederation of African Football.
The South African U17 Women’s National Team was drawn to play against Gabon in the first round of qualifiers. Bantwana will play away on the weekend 10-12 January, and home on the weekend 17-19 January 2025 and will need to progress to the second round of qualifiers later in the year.
Bantwana will be looking to qualify for this edition of the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup, which will be hosted in Morocco between 17 October – 8 November 2025.
The South African U20 Women’s National Team have been drawn against Eswatini and will be hoping to qualify for their first ever FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup.
Basetsana will travel to Eswatini to play the first leg of qualifiers on the weekend of 9-11 May 2025, with the second leg scheduled for the weekend of 16- 18 May 2025.
This World Cup will be played in Poland in 2026.
