D1296 ROAD CLOSED AFTER TRUCK INCIDENT
POLOKWANE – The Limpopo Department of Transport and Community Safety has advised motorists that the D1296 road between the R555 and R37 via Mangabane has been completely closed to traffic following an incident involving a truck.
The closure is expected to remain in place until the truck involved in the incident has been recovered.
Motorists travelling from the R37 are advised to use the R555 towards Burgersfort as an alternative route.
Those travelling from Stee in the area.ransport and Safety advises motorists that the D1296 between the R555 and R37 via Mangabane is completely closed to traffic following an incident involving a truck.
Motorists are advised to use the following alternative routes:
- From the R37: Join the R555 towards Burgersfort.
- From Steelpoort: Proceed straight to Burgersfort and then join the R37.
The Department is currently awaiting the recovery of the truck before the road can be reopened to traffic.
Motorists are urged to exercise extreme caution, plan their journeys accordingly and make use of the recommended alternative routes.
