Believe it or not, on 27 March, our “apex” Constitutional Court (ConCourt) ruled that the Economic Freedom Fighter’s (EFF’s) chanting or singing of “Kill the Boer” does not qualify as hate speech, inciting violence or a call to genocide, and it’s totally okay and legal for them to do so.
Yes, that happened. In South Africa, today.
My…the true colours are really oozing out lately, aren’t they?
A CLEAN SWEEP FOR HATE SPEECH
Yes, the same justice system (and “human rights” orgs) that were quick to swoop on the likes of Penny Sparrow, Vicky Momberg, Adam Catzavelos, Renaldo Gouws – to name a few – and charge them with racism, have given Julius Malema a green-light to spew hate speech that incites violence, genocide and ethnic cleansing. In the grand ol’ tinpot, despot, banana-republic tradition.
And, get this. That ruling came AFTER Malema and the EFF stirred up an international sh*t-storm of condemnation when they sang that song at a rally in Sharpeville…on Human Rights Day. Which, incidentally, happened AFTER Donald Trump and Elon Musk shone a spotlight on a laundry list of “terrible things” happening in our country – like the chanting of that very song by the EFF.
No, I’m not making any of this up.
WHAT’S WITH THE JUDICIAL DOUBLE STANDARDS?
So, let’s get this straight. Flying the old flag and calling black people monkeys or the k-word is swiftly and thoroughly dealt with and punishable by jail time and fines, but openly calling for genocide against white minorities is legal?
Why the difference and double standards in the dispensing of justice?
Oh, of course…those accused “racists” are white. Malema’s black.
That sound like an impartial, objective, unbiased, even-keeled justice system to you?
Keep in mind, this is all happening while most of the world’s attention is on our country right now.
IT’S ‘JUST A SONG’, WHO CARES?
You know, there was a time when I thought…who gives a f**k? Let him sing his little song…his genocidal, diabolical, despotic li’l ditty.
Far as he and his followers are concerned, we white “devil dogs” came here, uninvited, stole all the land, slaughtered their ancestors, enslaved the women and children… and raped the cattle.
If that’s what he genuinely believes, least we could do is let him sing his little icky oogie-boogie song, okay..?
Turns out, the international community, today, see it differently.
IS GLOBAL OUTRAGE AGAINST THE EFF RISING?
Last week, Trump released another jibe at SA on his Truth Social. This time, attached to the post, was a lovely little well-edited comp video, of juuust the right juicy bits of Juju and Zumie and their fanatical constituents singing genocidal ballads and ethnic-cleansing lullabies at mass rallies.
Now do yourself a favour. If you haven’t already, watch that video and skim the comments. Do you see what many people are saying? They’re saying things like, “Check out the f**ked-up crazy sh*t going down in South Africa right now!” Stuff like that.
ARE WE NORMALISING HATE SPEECH?
Yes, note the rising tide of international outrage against Malema and the EFF for singing that song, and against our government – and courts – for not only ignoring it but actively encouraging it.
Playing right into Trump’s hands, proving him correct… while the whole world watches.
Covering this story, Renaldo Gouws pointed out: “The rest of the world is looking at this and going, ‘something’s not right’.”
“Remember, we South Africans are hardened to songs like ‘Kill the Boer’. We’ve been hearing it for 15 years. We’ve heard these terrible things about white people for so many years that we don’t take it seriously anymore.”
He added: “But for any rational person outside of South Africa when they hear that and realise it comes from politicians in Parliament, they take it seriously. Probably because they know that when senior politicians make claims like this it usually ends up happening.”
THE PENDULUM OF HISTORY (IS SWINGING TO THE RIGHT AGAIN)
Malema and the EFF must’ve obviously forgotten that it’s no longer a radical left, uber-woke, batshit crazy, libtard party – under Obama, Biden or Harris – running America now. It’s no longer cool, hip, edgy and vogue to demonise whites, blame them for every rotten thing that happened in the history of the world, and sing about ethnically cleansing them with genocide.
BLM imploded, remember? Righteous crusader, Candace Owens exposed the corrupt cult for the scam that it was and destroyed it.
The thing about that pesky pendulum of history, Juju, is that it tends to swing one way…and then it swings the other way.
It’s done swinging to the far left – where we had blue-haired, poly-pierced, transgender transvestites from Transylvania telling our four-year-old kids they can be any gender they want – and parents who oppose it could be arrested.
And now the pendulum’s swinging to the (far) right again. And you know what’s waiting on the far right…right? That’s right. Neo-fascism. And you have the likes of Obama, Biden and Harris to thank for that. They helped make fascism great again.
MEANWHILE, ROETS IS RAMPING UP THE SPOTLIGHT ON US
While all of this hullabaloo is going on between SA and US right now, do you know what AfriForum’s ex-deputy CEO, Ernst Roets has been up to?
Our earnest Ernst has been skipping across the US, from one major commentator and podcaster to another, from Tucker Carlson to Matt Gaetz, Ben Shapiro to Jordan Peterson – among others – telling tales out of school about all the “horrible” things happening in our ailing, flailing kakistocracy.
One of the “horrible things” he’s talking about is that song and the ConCourt’s recent controversial ruling.
And the people he’s talking to collectively have tens of millions of followers.
Know what that means..?
It means Roets is turning the brightness knob on the Trump-Musk spotlight…all the way up to 11.
And all Cyril Ramaphosa, the ANC, and particularly the ConCourt, had to do… was the right, honourable thing. Practise what you preach. Show a little ubuntu, and “unity in our diversity”. Promote social cohesion, instead of division. By simply getting Malema to stop singing about slaughtering minorities – on the world stage.
ASK YOURSELF ONE, SIMPLE, LOGICAL, COMMON-SENSE QUESTION
Time to nip this one in the blusterous, blood-thirsty bud, once and for all…
I’ve sat patiently, for years, and listened to all sides. “It’s just a song”, they said. “No one takes it seriously”, they say. “It’s all just part of our precious (yawwwn) overhyped struggle.” We’re told.
Let’s set aside the ruling by the ConCourt for a second, put aside the law – since it seems to be failing us more and more lately.
Ask yourself one simple, logical, common-sense question…about singing that psychopathic song: Is it right?
Is it moral? Ethical? Humane? Civilised? Sensitive? Sentient? Intelligent? Appropriate?
Is that nation-building sh*t? Is that what you call “ubuntu”, muntu?
If your answer to any of that is “yes”, then…you and I? Are definitely NOT on the same moral, patriotic page.
WHAT CIVILISED COUNTRY WOULD TOLERATE ‘KILL THE BOER’?
Tell me…what civilized, democratic, law-abiding, critically-thinking, human rights-cherishing country…would ever tolerate any of their parliamentary ministers standing up in front of a crowd of thousands of impressionable (impoverished, populist, gullible) constituents – and millions more online – and singing songs that call for the genocidal ethnic cleansing of a minority group?
I don’t even think the worst tyrannical dictatorships on this godforsaken “dark continent” would allow it. I don’t see stadiums full of Hutu Rwandans calling for genocide against Tutsis, or Ethiopians calling for ethnic cleansing of Eritrians.
‘THE LAW’ IS NOT ALWAYS RIGHT, OR SACROSANCT
Reminder, folks. Just because it’s “legal”, doesn’t make it right. Apartheid laws were “legal”. Nazi laws were “legal”. In England today, killing a swan is still “legally” an act of treason and has been since the 12th century, because they’re lawful property of the Queen.
And in York, it’s still legal (but not enforced) to shoot a Scotsman in the street, if you see one – but only with a crossbow, and never on a Sunday. (Unless he happens to be drunk or carrying a weapon on that Sunday, in which case you can still shoot him – but only with a bow and arrow.)
That’s…“the law”.
Founding Father and third US President, Thomas Jefferson once said: “If a law is unjust, a man is not only right to disobey it, he is obligated to do so.”
Or, as Mr. Bumble said in Oliver Twist; “If that is the law…then the law is an ass.”
“Democracy leads to tyranny, dictatorship, despotism, anarchy and mob rule.” – Plato
