BETHLEHEM – The police need community’s assistance with information that may lead to the arrests and the conviction of the suspects wanted for three alleged murders which occurred over the weekend at Warden, Harrismith and Tseki policing precincts, in which a missing woman from Warden was found killed, two foreign nationals murdered, and others were injured in two separate incidents at Harrismith and Tseki in Qwaqwa. On 12 July 2024 at about 12:30, a woman who was collecting firewood at Plot D in Warden came across the body of an unknown woman lying near a tree and summoned the police. The police and family identified the woman as Bonisile Mkwanazi (21), who has been reported missing since 5 July 2024. She was found under a tree and covered with stones. The Harrismith police are investigating a case of murder and attempted murder in which two foreign nationals were allegedly stabbed with sharp objects by three unknown suspects at Makholokweng Village. It’s alleged that on 12 July 2024, at about 20:10, the three suspects entered the tuck shop without a word and stabbed the two. The family member rushed both men to local hospitals. Allie Hussain (27) succumbed to injuries, while Yasir Iqbal (33) sustained serious injuries. The suspects left the shop with two cellphones. The Tseki police were summoned to the Leratong grazing field on Sunday, 14 July 2024, where a foreign national was allegedly shot and killed. The suspect fled the scene on foot.
