24 July 2024 – The SAFA Coach Education Department began their first Refresher and Grading course on Wednesday, 24 July 2024 at SAFA House with 15 active educators in attendance.
The course is aimed at dealing with critical information around coach education, including;

· Adult learning principles
-
· Modern presentation skills
-
· Delivering feedback and feedforward
-
· Upgrading the CAF C and D content
-
· Teaching methodology
-
· National playing philosophy
-
· Learning and teaching concepts and
-
· Practical application and review.
SAFA’s readmission into the CAF Convention means that many more coaching courses will be held around the country and more educators will need to be eligible to conduct the courses.
“We must make sure that they are up to date with the latest trends in football, and we can also deliver innovative and fresh content to our coaches. Coaches completing this course will have their Educators license for the next three years.
“This is the first refresher course we are hosting, and we will have another one later in the year,” said Mathibela.
