Chiefs make three changes – Monyane eyes Siwelele scalp

Thabiso Monyane says Kaizer Chiefs are focused on ending the season on a high as they prepare to face Siwelele FC in Bloemfontein on Wednesday evening.
The right-back reflected positively on the recent Soweto Derby draw, saying the team executed their plan well.
“The derby was great. We had a plan and executed it well. Both teams wanted to win, but it ended in a draw,” he said.
Thabiso Monyane expects a tough challenge against Siwelele, who are fighting in the middle of the table.
“We are not expecting an easy game. We respect every opponent and always give our best,” he added.
The 24-year-old is also excited to play in Bloemfontein, where fans have been starved of top-flight football.
“The supporters there have been waiting for football. As Chiefs players, we feel at home everywhere.”
Thabiso Monyane is one of the players who keep their places from the team that started against Orlando Pirates three days ago.
“We are in the final stretch. The team is in a good space, but we must not get carried away.
“We take it one game at a time and aim to finish strong,” he concluded.
Paseka Mako returns to the team and replaces Bradley Cross at left back as the team returns to the 4-4-2 setup.
In midfield, Thabo Cele replaces Sibongiseni Mthethwa, and Mduduzi Shabalala replaces Siphesihle Ndlovu.
Here is how the Chiefs lineup: Petersen – Mako, Monyane, McCarthy, Msimango – Maboe, Mmodi, Cele, Shabalala – Lilepo, Duba
On the bench: Bvuma, Frosler, Miguel, Mthethwa, Ngcobo, Sirino, Da Silva, Vilakazi, Velebayi
