A producer and composer Lebo M is set to pay tribute to the legendary Joseph Shabalala, founder of the iconic group Ladysmith Black Mambazo, with a special event titled “Honouring Joseph Shabalala.” The celebration will tak place on September 20 at Nu Metro VIP Cinemas in Ballito Junction.
The event will mark the world premiere of the music video “Imisebenzi” by Nkosinathi Shabalala, a heartfelt tribute to Joseph Shabalala’s groundbreaking artistry. Lebo M aims to preserve and celebrate this cultural legacy through music, storytelling, and live performance.
The celebration will continue on September 24 with a Heritage Day tribute concert at the Durban Playhouse, featuring a star-studded lineup including Big Zulu, Khuzani, and Sjava. Media personality Minnie Dlamini will host the evening.
