Controversial businessman Vusimuzi “Cat” Matlala has completely denied having any personal or professional relationship with Police Minister Senzo Mchunu.

Testifying before the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry, Matlala was questioned about paragraph 15.1 of his affidavit, which outlines his alleged ties and interactions with various high-profile individuals.

When pressed about his connection to Mchunu—who is currently on special leave—Matlala maintained that they are total strangers.

He firmly stated to the commission that he has never met the Minister, never interacted with him, and has never even attended the same social or official gatherings.
