Media Statement FREE STATE – A case of fraud against prominent Bloemfontein businessman, Freddie Kenney (70), has been postponed to 23 May 2025 for trial in the Bloemfontein Regional Court. The matter was brought before court by the Serious Commercial Crime Investigation unit. The charges against him stem from alleged failure by his fund, the Sue Celken Family Trust, to submit tax returns for periods from 2016 to 2024. The South African Revenue Service (SARS) suffered a loss of about R70 million as a result of the non-compliance. Ends
