SASOLBURG – A 32-year- old male is expected to appear before the Sasolburg Magistrates’ Court for theft of a motor vehicle. On 16 July 2024 the Fezile Dabi district team was busy tracing a copper cable thief around Sebokeng in the Gauteng province. During their patrol, the team received information regarding a Hyundai i20 escorting a Toyota bakkie, which was allegedly stolen in Vaalpark and suspected to be heading towards Gauteng. While patrolling, the members spotted the two vehicles and pursued them until they managed to stop the Toyota Hilux and the second vehicle managed to escape. The suspect was arrested and the Toyota Hilux was seized. The suspect will appear before the Sasolburg Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 18 July 2024, on a charge of theft of a motor vehicle. Ends
