The 37-year-old was arrested last month after baby Mogamat Imaad Shamar—reported missing—was found at her home. She now faces serious charges, including kidnapping and defeating the ends of justice.
As part of her bail conditions, Jacobs must report regularly to her local police station and is prohibited from contacting any witnesses in the case.
During the hearing, the investigating officer argued strongly against bail, stating that Jacobs was not a suitable candidate. However, her defence team pushed back, noting that she is the primary caregiver of three children—an argument the court ultimately took into consideration.
The case has been postponed to 15 October as investigations continue.
