BUSINESSMAN AND MUSICIAN MAN B’S BAIL APPLICATION POSTPONED UNTIL WEDNESDAY
The bail hearing of prominent KuGompo City (East London) businessman and musician Mlindelwa Tyekana, popularly known as Man B, has been postponed until Wednesday.
Man B and his two co-accused are facing charges of attempted murder involving a 16-year-old boy who is currently in the ICU.

They are also charged with kidnapping and assault. Man B’s co-accused are Siyasanga Mashologu and Dalixolo Willie. The bail proceedings on Monday, May 25, faced multiple structural delays.
The venue shifted across three different courtrooms before finally sitting in the High Court.
The defense team began cross-examining the state’s witness, investigating officer Sgt Bulelani Mgubo, before the court adjourned.
Tyekana’s defense has disputed the validity of the identity parade, arguing it only placed the men at the scene rather than individualising who fired the shots.
Tyekana filed an affidavit stating he is a prominent employer with over 700 employees across his construction, security, and record label companies who depend on him financially. Meanwhile, the state and local community members are strongly opposing bail.
A petition has been signed citing concerns that the accused know where the victims live and pose a risk of witness intimidation.
The bail application will continue tomorrow.
