Leading South African bookmakers Hollywoodbets have Hugo Broos’ team on offer at 40/1 to win what would be the country’s second AFCON title after lifting the trophy back in 1996.
Senegal and Morocco have been installed as joint 6/1 favourites, followed by hosts Ivory Coast and Algeria at 7/1.
Egypt are an attractive-looking 9/1, with Nigeria and Cameroon on offer at 10/1.
South Africa are 12th-favourites among the 24 teams set to take part.
