Ayanda Thabethe’s Gifted Royal Blue Rolls-Royce Goes on Sale Amid Split Speculation
The royal blue 2024 Rolls-Royce Cullinan that businessman Peter Matsimbe gifted media personality Ayanda Thabethe in 2024 is now on the market for nearly R15 million, just as online chatter about the couple’s relationship intensifies.
The Cullinan is listed at R14,999,990 through Carshop Rivonia. The used automatic has about 24,750 km on the clock and is powered by a 6.75-litre V12 petrol engine. When Thabethe first showed the car off in June 2024, it was widely reported as a gift from Matsimbe, then described as her partner, and was estimated at around R10 million before options.
The listing has landed at the same time as Thabethe has dropped Matsimbe’s surname from her social media profiles. A five-bedroom Bryanston property linked to the couple is said to be under offer.
Neither Thabethe nor Matsimbe has publicly confirmed a separation. The Cullinan was one of several high-end gifts tied to the relationship, including a Mercedes-Maybach in 2024. For now, the car that once signalled the couple’s wealth is simply a dealer listing.
