AmaZulu bring back Maduna as Zwane boosts midfield options

AmaZulu FC have officially completed the signing of midfielder Siphesihle Maduna

AmaZulu FC have officially completed the signing of midfielder Siphesihle Maduna, bringing the former Usuthu player back to Durban on a free transfer after his departure from TS Galaxy.

Maduna returns to the club where he started his professional career after enjoying an impressive two-year spell at Galaxy. During his time with the Rockets, the 26-year-old made 55 appearances and scored once, rebuilding his reputation as one of the league’s reliable midfielders.

Before joining TS Galaxy, Maduna spent a season with Cape Town Spurs following their relegation from the Betway Premiership. He had previously made 86 appearances for AmaZulu, scoring seven goals during his first stint with the club.

Usuthu believe Maduna’s return will strengthen Arthur Zwane’s midfield as the team looks to improve on last season’s fourth-place finish.
The Ladysmith-born midfielder expressed his excitement about returning to the club that launched his career.

“I’m glad to be back at AmaZulu Football Club, a club that gave me an opportunity to play professional football. I’m excited to wear the green and white colours again and look forward to playing a part in achieving the team’s dreams and goals this season,” said Maduna.

His arrival gives Zwane another experienced midfield option as AmaZulu continue to reinforce their squad after the opening two matches of the 2026/27 Betway Premiership campaign.
