Media Statement BOTSHABELO – Police in Botshabelo are requesting public assistance in tracing the suspects who fatally shot a well-known musician in Botshabelo. On 12 September 2024 at about 18:30, police in Botshabelo were called to a scene of shooting in A Section. On arrival, they found a man on a bed with three gunshot wounds to the head. He was identified as a 41-year-old Tshepiso Golden Mofambere, who was well-known as “Majara.” The emergency services certified him dead on the scene. Majara was a singer of Sesotho music. The mother of the deceased reported to the police that she was sitting outside when two suspects arrived and one of them was holding a firearm. The one with the firearm went inside the house while the other one stood outside with her. It was further reported that the suspect went straight to the bedroom of the deceased where he was sleeping and shot him three times before going outside. The community came to assist the family and summoned the police.
