POLOKWANE – A joint operation conducted in Lebowakgomo policing area under Capricorn District led to an apprehension of a male suspect facing a charge of rape, robbery and possession of an unlicensed firearm on Sunday 03 November 2024 at about 06:00. The multidisciplinary team, comprising, Limpopo Highway Patrol and Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offenses (FCS) Unit, while busy conducting an operation, they managed to nab the suspect at Makaepea, Seleteng village near Lebowakgomo During the arrest, the suspect was found in possession of an unlicensed firearm,38 special revolver with 05 live ammunitions. The suspect whose age is still to be determined will appear before the Thabamoopo Magistrate court soon. Police investigations are continuing. Ends
