Media Statement POLOKWANE – A 56-year old accused Molabe Fannie Seribishane appeared on, Thursday 12 December 2024 before Thabamoopo Magistrate’s Court in Lebowakgomo for Murder. The members of the Provincial Tracking Team together with Murder and Robbery Unit after a diligent investigation managed to trace and arrest a 56 year old man for the brutal murder of a 52-year-old female victim at Lebowakgomo policing area following the incident that took place on 23 October 2024 at about 17:00. The deceased, a nurse by profession met her untimely death while on the way to work at Lebowakgomo hospital. The victim succumbed to gunshot wounds sustained next to the gate of the medical facility. Following the incident, a murder case was opened at the local police and immediately transferred to the Provincial Murder and Robbery Unit and Tracking Team for further investigations. On Wednesday 13 November 2024, an intelligence driven operation was executed and resulted in the apprehension of a 56 year-old male suspect at Lebowakgomo Zone A. During the arrest, the suspect was found in possession of a police firearm with ammunition reported stolen at Seshego precinct during the month of June 2024. Police also seized a VW Golf 7 motor vehicle believed to have been used in the commission of the crime. The accused Molabe Fannie Seribishane who is related to the deceased Mumsy Seribishane, his bail application was postponed to 30 January 2025 for further police investigation. He is facing a charges of murder, possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.
