Media Statement POLOKWANE – A 42-year-old male suspect was nabbed in connection with the horrific murder of a male victim last year on Saturday, 06 January 2024 at Morwasetla village under Bolobedu policing area. The deceased was reportedly found with a gunshot wound on the forehead. Preliminary investigations revealed that the victim sold a Ford Ranger bakkie to the suspect who was still owing an additional amount of cash to settle the payment. The deceased allegedly had an appointment with the suspect when he met his untimely death at Morwasetla village. A murder case was opened and police investigations were conducted until the suspect was subsequently apprehended on Saturday 04 January 2025 during an intelligence driven operation executed in Mopani District by the members of Provincial Murder and Robbery Unit, Tzaneen Tracking Team and Mopani District Tracking Team. A 42-year-old male suspect, a resident at Matipane village will appear before Bolobedu Magistrate court soon facing a charge of murder.
