Media Statement POLOKWANE – A 33-year-old male who was on the run after he allegedly fatally stabbed a 30-year-old woman has been arrested. The suspect handed himself today on Wednesday at about 14:00 to Tshilwavhusiku SAPS following a reported murder incident of a 30-year-old woman, Rinah Malange at Madodonga village last month on Saturday, 27 April 2024 at about 08:05. The police responded to a complaint of murder at the village and upon arrival where the victim was staying with her boyfriend, found her in the bedroom lying in a pool of blood with several stab wounds sustained on the upper body. Preliminary investigations revealed that the victim was stabbed with a sharp object and repeatedly hit with a hard object. The man had been on the run since the fateful day. The motive behind this horrific act is unknown at this stage and police investigations are underway. The suspect is expected to appear before the Tshilwavhusiku Magistrate court soon facing a charge of murder.
