POLOKWANE – Suspect, Kagiso Thabang Terry Thubane, aged 29, arrested for two counts of murder involving his two family members, appeared before Phalaborwa Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 29 April 2024. He was remanded in custody until 02 May 2024, for further Police investigations. His arrest comes after an incident that happened on Friday, 26 April 2024, at around 15:30. Allegedly, the suspect stabbed his sister aged 31 and her one-month old child, with an unknown sharp instrument at their residence in Nelgra Section. He thereafter, locked the doors, and fled from the scene. The gruesome murder incident was discovered by another sister, and she immediately alerted the Police The scene of crime was visited, and the Police opened two counts of murder cases. Manhunt was launched for the suspect, aged 29 and he was arrested on Saturday, 27 April 2024, along R40 road between Phalaborwa and Mica. The circumstances that led to this gruesome incident are still under Police investigations. The Provincial Commissioner of Police in Limpopo, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe, has condemned the brutal killing of a woman and her child. She also welcomed the arrest of the suspect
