Moloisane starts, wants three points or Chiefs carry the pressure into the break

Moloisane starts, wants three points or Chiefs carry the pressure into the break

Kaizer Chiefs defender Thabo Moloisane is not talking style. He is talking the table.

Chiefs go to Mbombela on Sunday to face Golden Arrows at a neutral ground. Last week Polokwane held them 1-1.

AmaZulu jumped them and they dropped to fourth place. Two draws in games they think they should have won. FIFA break next.

“It’s gonna be extremely important for us to get three points,” said Moloisane.

“We’ve played two draws in games that we should have won and especially now that we are going to the FIFA break.

“It will be extremely important for us to go to the FIFA break with three points.

“That will take a bit of pressure off our shoulders knowing that we are keeping up with the teams that are on top of the league.”

Captain and first-choice keeper Brandon Petersen is out after a midweek training injury. Moloisane is not selling a crisis.

“Firstly, I just wish for Biza to get well soon and secondly, I think in the goalkeeping department we have capable guys.

“Bruce [Bvuma] is there, Renaldo [Leaner] is there as well. So, we are not panicking at all,” adds Moloisane.

“One goal is to make sure that the team wins and to make sure that we support one another. So, we are definitely not panicking at all, everyone is just as capable as the other.”

Close the gap. Bank the points. Then breathe.
