Two men have been shot dead inside a seven-seater vehicle outside the University of Johannesburg’s Doornfontein Campus on Monday.

The shooting happened in an area frequented by students travelling to and from nearby residences.

An unknown gunman is believed to have opened fire on the men before fleeing the scene in a getaway car.

The motive for the shooting remains unclear, and police are expected to investigate the circumstances surrounding the apparent targeted attack.
