Police are urging Zamani Qoma to contact them for assistance in investigation
Police in KwaZulu-Natal are urging Zamani Bhekisimo Qoma to present himself to the nearest police station to assist police in the ongoing investigation into the double murder and four counts of attempted murder which happened at KwaMusi area in September 2024.
According to KZN SAPS Spokesperson Colonel Robert Netshiunda said on the evening on 7 September 2024, six men were seated under a tree consuming alcohol when they were allegedly ambushed by unknown suspects who fired several shots at them.
Mthokozisi Mchunu (35) was shot and died at the scene, whilst Sandile Ngubo (40) sustained gunshot wounds and died upon arrival at a local health facility. Four other people survived the shooting but sustained gunshot injuries.
“Police investigations have thus far pointed at Zamani Qoma as a person of interest who can assist police in the investigation,” he said.
He asked anyone who knows Qoma to contact Investigating Officer Warrant Officer Mbatha at 076 525 1793 as soon as possible.
