Police in Polokwane Search for Missing 42 Year Old Clinton Cloud Vander Merwe
Police in Polokwane have launched an appeal for public assistance to help locate 42 year old Clinton Cloud Vander Merwe, who has been reported missing.
The South African Police Service (SAPS) in Polokwane said Vander Merwe was last seen by his grandmother on Wednesday, 15 July 2026, at about 15:30.
He had visited his grandmother at her residence in Flora Park, Polokwane, but has not been seen since.
More than a month later, his family remains without answers about his whereabouts.
Police said the circumstances surrounding his disappearance are being investigated, while his family has been unable to establish where he may currently be.
The clothing Vander Merwe was wearing when he was last seen is also unknown, making it difficult to provide further identifying details about what he may have been wearing when he disappeared.
Police Appeal for Information
SAPS is urging anyone who may have seen Vander Merwe or has information that could help investigators trace him to come forward.
The investigating officer, Sergeant Mokgadi Molope, can be contacted on 082 728 9831.
Members of the public can also provide information to Crime Stop on 08600 10111, report it at their nearest police station or use the MySAPS App.
Police are appealing to anyone with information, no matter how insignificant it may appear, to come forward.
Family Awaits Answers
The disappearance has left Vander Merwe’s family searching for answers as police continue efforts to establish his whereabouts.
Anyone who may have encountered him since 15 July, particularly around Flora Park or elsewhere in Polokwane, is urged to contact the police.
Investigators are relying on information from the public to help piece together Vander Merwe’s movements after he was last seen.
Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Sergeant Molope or the other official channels as soon as possible.
