Durban University of Technology (DUT) Pietermaritzburg Campus is set to host the Msunduzi Coaching Workshop.

This has been described as a practical and insightful session aimed at equipping youth football coaches with knowledge to drive player development and football excellence in the region.

The workshop will take place on Sunday, 16 August 2026, at DUT’s Indumiso campus, with registration starting at 8:30. Coaches attending will pay a course fee of R150 per person.

The session will be presented by renown youth coach Zipho Dlangalala and will focus heavily on lessons from the recent FIFA Senior Men’s World Cup, won by Spain, as well as a review of the Under-17 and Under-20 World Cup tournaments from 2025.

Organizers say the goal is to translate insights from these top-level and youth international competitions into practical coaching approaches that can benefit grassroots and youth development structures.

According to promotional material for the event, the workshop is designed for coaches looking to sharpen their understanding of the modern game.
And with particular attention to how youth pathways — from U17 to U20 level — feed into the broader footballing pipeline, including the pathway toward senior World Cup football.
