The search is on for the suspects who shot and killed an ANC councillor in KZN
An African National Congress (ANC) KZN ward councillor has been shot and killed on Thursday afternoon.
According to KZN SAPS reports different police units are combing for clues and pieces of evidence at a crime scene in Klaarwater near Mariannhill outside Durban where a ward councillor was shot and killed on Thursday afternoon.
Information available at this stage suggests that the deceased was in his office with several community members when an unknown man arrived and posed as one who needed assistance from the deceased.
The deceased reportedly went out to assist the man and the suspect drew a firearm and shot the deceased several times and he was declared dead at the scene.
The suspect fled the scene on foot. The motive of the killing remains unknown at this stage, and a manhunt for the suspect is underway.
