Rapper Money Mike SA denies ‘Malicious’ human trafficking claims, apologises for emotional outburst
South African rapper and entrepreneur Money Mike SA, whose real name is Ibrahim Abdul Fakhouri, has vehemently denied serious criminal allegations made against him during a recent online dispute.
Through a formal media statement issued by his representatives, YHC Management, the artist categorically rejected claims linking him to human trafficking or any other illicit activities, describing the accusations as entirely false, malicious, and highly defamatory.
The controversy stems from a highly publicised online exchange between the musician and a citizen identified as Tebogo G. Mashego.
According to his management team, Money Mike SA has never personally met Mashego, only knowing of him indirectly through a mutual friend and business associate known as TMG.
Management emphasized that no personal or professional relationship exists between the two parties that could warrant such severe public accusations.
While defending his innocence, the artist expressed deep regret over how he handled the provocation.
Admitting that the attacks on his character caused intense anger and frustration, Money Mike SA acknowledged that he allowed his emotions to get the better of him, resulting in hurtful and emotionally charged public comments.
Through his management, he extended a sincere apology to his supporters, business partners, and the public for the language used during the heated dispute.
However, YHC Management maintained that public figures should not have to tolerate repeated character assassination, asserting that celebrities retain the same legal rights to protection as any other citizen.
Moving forward, the rapper has pledged to completely withdraw from social media feuds and public confrontations.
The team confirmed that any future threats, defamatory statements, or malicious claims targeting Money Mike SA, his family, or his business interests will be handed directly to legal authorities.
In an unexpected turn, the statement also highlighted growing concerns regarding Mashego’s personal well-being.
YHC Management revealed that they had reached out privately to offer Mashego financial assistance for professional mental health support after observing concerning behaviour, an offer that was ultimately declined.
Management also claimed there had been subsequent attempts to solicit money from them during this time, leading them to believe Mashego is facing deeper personal and economic struggles.
Urging the public to show compassion rather than ridicule, Money Mike SA’s team encouraged Mashego’s close circles to step in and help him access professional guidance.
Closing the matter, management stated that the rapper will no longer address the dispute publicly, as he redirects his full focus toward his music career, expanding his international entrepreneurial footprint, and representing South Africa on the global stage.
