The twenty eighth annual South African Music Awards (SAMAs) befell over two evenings on Saturday 27 August and Sunday 28 August at the Sun City Superbowl in North West. Mzansi’s greatest night time in music was hosted by Lawrence Maleka, Nandi Madida, Mpho Popps and multi-talented star, Robot Boii.
The night was full of spectacular performances from the likes of Makhadzi, Msaki, Lloyiso, A-Reece, Nomfundo Moh and plenty of others. Zakes Bantwini, who was essentially the most nominated artist at the SAMAs, walked away with two awards for his chart-topping hit, Osama, that includes Kasango.

SAMA 28 HIGHLIGHTS
Several of Mzansi’s A-list celebrities headed to Sun City for the twenty eighth version of the SAMAs. The first award of the night, the SAMRO Highest Airplay Award, was awarded to Zakes Bantwini and Kasango for his or her chart-topping hit, Osama.
Shortly earlier than the hip-hop efficiency of the night, Riky Rick’s spouse, Bianca Naidoo, paid tribute to the late rapper. Stogie T, A-Reece, Tshego, Raspy, Phantom Steeze, Shishiliza and Venom all hit the stage for the efficiency.
Riky Rick’s brother took the stage to carry out the late rapper’s hit, Sidlukotini.
