Siphesihle Ndlovu Sends Kaizer Chiefs Fans Message Ahead of New Season
Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Siphesihle Ndlovu has urged Amakhosi supporters to remain patient and believe in the club’s rebuilding process as the team prepares for a new chapter under a fresh coaching philosophy.
Speaking from Kaizer Chiefs’ pre season training camp in Alicante, Spain, Ndlovu admitted that change takes time but insisted that the squad is making encouraging progress as players adapt to new methods ahead of the 2026/27 season.
The midfielder believes the foundation being laid during the European camp could prove crucial as Chiefs look to compete strongly in domestic competitions and the CAF Confederation Cup.
“It has been a wonderful camp. We are very happy to be here preparing for the new season. We are looking better and sharper every training session,” Ndlovu said.
“We have a new coach with a new philosophy and we are adapting well to his ideas.”
The arrival of a new coach has brought fresh expectations among Kaizer Chiefs supporters, who are desperate to see the club return to its former success after recent seasons of inconsistency. Ndlovu understands the pressure surrounding the Soweto giants but believes the squad needs time to fully implement the new approach.

Although the Alicante camp has provided the players with ideal conditions to prepare for the upcoming campaign, Ndlovu stressed that the squad remains focused on improving rather than enjoying a holiday abroad.
“We are all enthusiastic and very ambitious. This is a lovely environment, but we are not here on holiday. We are here to work, and we are putting in the effort every day,” he said.
The 29 year old midfielder also highlighted the importance of having a complete pre season after joining Chiefs previously without the benefit of a full preparation period.
According to Ndlovu, the current campaign offers him a valuable opportunity to build fitness, understand his teammates better and establish himself within the team’s new system.
“It’s always better as a professional to have a pre season, especially when you join a new team. I’m privileged to have this pre season with Chiefs to get into the right condition,” he explained.
Friendly matches provide important lessons before new season
Chiefs have used their European tour to test themselves against different opponents, with Ndlovu featuring in friendly matches against Rangers and Al Khalood.
The midfielder believes these encounters have given the team valuable insight into areas that need improvement before competitive football resumes.
“These matches help us measure where we are. We faced different styles of play, similar to what we’ll encounter in the Betway Premiership and CAF Confederation Cup,” Ndlovu said.
The Glamour Boys finished their European tour with a 2-1 defeat against Spanish side Elche on Saturday. Despite the result, the matches have formed part of the club’s wider preparations as the coaching staff continues to shape the squad.
Kaizer Chiefs will now return to South Africa before facing Zimbabwean side Scottland FC in the Toyota Cup on 26 July.
