SA Reality TV Star Nozipho Hlophe Wins Prestigious International Awards After Inspiring Health Battle

Reality TV personality Nozipho Hlophe has added two prestigious honours to her growing list of achievements, earning recognition both in South Africa and on the international stage after a journey defined by resilience, determination and purpose.

The Life With Felix Hlophe star has been named Best Influential Woman of the Year 2026 in South Africa and has also been recognised internationally as a 2026 Queen Book International Award recipient in India.

The accolades mark a significant milestone for Hlophe, who appears alongside her brother, popular Durban radio personality Felix Hlophe, on the hit Mzansi Magic reality series.

However, behind the television cameras and public recognition lies a deeply personal story of survival.

Speaking about her journey, Hlophe revealed that her life changed dramatically in 2015 when she was diagnosed with multiple life-altering health conditions. The diagnosis led to countless hospital visits and two years of living on oxygen, testing her physically, emotionally and spiritually.

“My journey has been one of resilience, courage, unwavering faith and purpose. In 2015, I was diagnosed with multiple life-altering health conditions, a season that brought countless hospital visits, uncertainty and two years of living on oxygen. But I chose faith over fear. I refused to be defined by my diagnosis and instead transformed my pain into purpose. Today, I stand as a beacon of hope, reminding women everywhere that a diagnosis does not define destiny,” she said.

Rather than allowing illness to define her future, Hlophe channelled her experience into advocacy and community service, dedicating herself to supporting people living with chronic illnesses.

She is the founder and director of the FSBS (For the Sick By the Sick Foundation), established in 2018 to provide education, support and hope for individuals facing life-changing medical conditions.

“My mission is to empower, uplift and inspire others to rise above challenges, to dream again and to embrace life fully.

“I represent victory, grace and unshakable strength, a woman who does not look like her struggles but reflects triumph.”

Hlophe said her own health battles gave her first-hand insight into the emotional, physical, mental and spiritual challenges experienced by people living with chronic illnesses.

She believes compassionate support, accurate health education and safe spaces are essential in helping people regain hope and rebuild their lives.

Over the years, she has dedicated herself to raising awareness through motivational speaking, educational workshops, community outreach programmes and health awareness campaigns.

“Rather than allowing my circumstances to limit my potential, I chose to become a voice for those whose stories often remain unheard. Through motivational speaking, educational workshops, community outreach programmes and awareness campaigns, I continue to inspire people to embrace hope, cultivate resilience and believe that every setback can become the beginning of a greater purpose,” she said.

For Hlophe, receiving the Best Influential Woman of the Year 2026 title represents far more than personal success.

She believes the recognition reflects the impact of resilience, compassion and service, while the international honour from the Queen Book International Awards has opened new opportunities to collaborate with leaders across the world who share a commitment to creating meaningful change.

“Receiving international recognition through Queen Book International has further expanded my vision. It has opened doors to connect with remarkable leaders from different countries who share a common commitment to transforming lives and creating meaningful change.

“It has reinforced my belief that acts of compassion and service have no boundaries, and that one person’s testimony can inspire hope across nations.”

Looking ahead, Hlophe said she plans to expand the reach of the FSBS Foundation, strengthen partnerships with organisations that share its mission and develop sustainable programmes that provide education, emotional support and practical assistance for people living with chronic illnesses.

She also hopes to create more opportunities that empower women, inspire young leaders and encourage communities to believe that resilience can transform lives.

Her latest accolades not only celebrate her growing influence in the entertainment industry but also recognise a powerful story of perseverance that continues to inspire people far beyond South Africa’s borders.
