TRUCK HIJACKING & ARMED ROBBERY TARGET ARRESTED
An intelligence-driven operation involving SAPS Crime Intelligence Head Office MDOC, SAPS Gauteng TRT, Gauteng Traffic Police Airwing, CAP Specialised Operations, and Tracker Connect led to the arrest of a suspect linked to truck hijackings and various armed robberies in Gauteng and surrounding provinces.
Information was received regarding a target allegedly involved in truck hijackings, armed robberies, and impersonating members of the South African Police Service. A residential premises in Ennerdale, south of Johannesburg, was identified, and an operational plan was executed.
During the raid, the target was contained and arrested. Upon searching the premises, officers recovered multiple exhibits, including SAPS uniforms, blue lights, unlicensed firearms, and ammunition.
Preliminary investigations have established that the suspect is allegedly linked to armed robberies, ATM bombings, and several truck hijackings committed across Gauteng and neighbouring provinces.
One (1) suspect was arrested. Officers recovered three (3) unlicensed firearms and ammunition, including one firearm sought in connection with a truck hijacking case registered in Potchefstroom.

Military-grade signal jamming device
SAPS dockets
False registration plates
Hand gloves
Cellphones
Further investigations are underway to link the suspect to other crimes committed
