Minister of Sport, Arts and Culture Gayton McKenzie has congratulated Mamelodi Sundowns after their historic CAF Champions League triumph.

Masandawana defeated ASFAR 2-1 on aggregate to lift Africa’s biggest club trophy for the second time in the club’s history.

McKenzie praised the club for flying the South African flag high and said Sundowns’ success is proof that hard work, discipline, and teamwork can achieve greatness.

“Your success has brought immense pride to our nation and serves as an inspiration to aspiring footballers across the country,” said the Minister.

He also applauded the players, technical team, management, and supporters for contributing to the club’s continental success.
