The trial of 52-year-old Orscarin Selina Hlungwani, whom the state accused of murdering her husband Soyaphi Moses Hlungwani, also known as Shaka, has been postponed once again by the Phalaborwa Regional Court.
The matter was scheduled to continue on 13 and 14 May 2026, but was postponed to 30 September and 1 October 2026 due to the unavailability of a key witness.
The case relates to an alleged domestic dispute at Malungane village in Namakgale in August 2024, after which the 63-year-old victim was left unconscious.
The repeated delays have reportedly left the family frustrated as they continue to wait for the matter to be finalised.
