New information has emerged that Emfuleni Local Municipality employee Martha Mani (39) feared for her life in the weeks before she was gunned down on 30 March 2026.
According to Vaal Journal, Mani’s family confirmed she had grown increasingly concerned about her safety and was actively trying to boost security at her home.
“The last time I spoke to her, she told me that she wanted to add four more cameras at her home,” a family member said. When asked why she wanted to install the additional cameras, the family member said Mani replied that she was scared.
The family also revealed that Mani had opened a case of intimidation, among others, prior to the shooting.
Her case has since been taken over by the Political Killings Task Team (PKTT) and The family has expressed relief that the PKTT has taken over the investigation into her brutal execution-style murder.
