An international video technology company, iME has appointed celebrated broadcaster Carol Tshabalala as its Chief Executive Officer for Africa.
And this marks a major step in the company’s expansion across the continent. The announcement was confirmed by iME global CEO Tandi Potgieter.
She described the move as part of a broader strategy to strengthen the company’s footprint in key international markets.
The company specialises in video technology solutions, including one-way interviews, video calling, digital content and live streaming.
In her new role, Tshabalala will spearhead the company’s Africa growth strategy, focusing on market development, partnerships and execution across high-potential economies.
With over two decades of experience, Tshabalala brings a wealth of expertise from leading platforms such as SABC Sport, SuperSport and Premier League productions.
She has also been involved in covering major global sporting events, earning recognition as one of Africa’s most respected media figures.
“Carol is a trailblazer, a builder, and one of the most trusted voices on the continent,” said Potgieter. “Her leadership reflects our commitment to growing closer to opportunity in Africa.”
Tshabalala said she is eager to drive innovation and partnerships across the continent.
“Africa is not just an emerging market; it is a leadership, talent and innovation market,” she said. “I look forward to building platforms that connect people, stories and opportunities.”
