The Soweto Derby has done it again — tickets are officially SOLD OUT in less than 24 hours.
Despite the match only taking place later next month, fans wasted no time as thousands rushed to secure their seats the moment tickets went live on Monday.
By Tuesday morning, there was nothing left.
Orlando Pirates, who will host the blockbuster clash, confirmed that every single ticket had been snapped up — proving once again that this is the biggest fixture in South African football.
Even releasing tickets early did nothing to slow the madness.
Supporters flooded the system, triggering a full sell-out within hours as anticipation for the clash between Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs reached boiling point.
The two giants will collide on 26 April at the iconic FNB Stadium, a venue that holds close to 100,000 fans — and still wasn’t enough.
The last meeting between these bitter rivals ended in humiliation for Chiefs, who were thrashed 3-0 by Pirates.
That crushing defeat sparked outrage among Amakhosi supporters, with many questioning the leadership of interim coaches Khalil Ben Youssef and Cedric Kaze.
Things went from bad to worse when Chiefs suffered another defeat against Richards Bay shortly after.
But the tide may be turning.
Chiefs have since bounced back with two consecutive wins, restoring belief among fans — and setting the stage for a potentially explosive revenge showdown.
One thing is certain:
This Derby is not just sold out — it’s already on fire. 🔥
