The Commissioner of the Border Management Authority (BMA), Dr Michael Masiapato, will on Wednesday and Thursday, 01 and 02 April 2026, be on the ground to monitor accelerated security control measures at the Lebombo Port of Entry ahead of the Easter holidays.
Masiapato will also assess the deployment and effectiveness of technology and equipment being utilised in ongoing border security operations.
For the return leg, when most travellers are expected to re-enter the country after the Easter holidays, the BMA Commissioner will intensify security monitoring at the Beitbridge Port of Entry from 06 to 08 April 2026.
