Today we mourn a true cadre, a soldier who never betrayed the struggle. You stood firm for Radical Economic Transformation when it was difficult, when others chose comfort and silence. You remained disciplined, focused, and committed to the liberation of our people.
We travelled this country together, province to province, teaching our people that economic freedom in our lifetime is a must. Even during your time in the ANC, you never abandoned the message of RET. You understood that the struggle is not about positions but about changing the lives of black people in a meaningful way.
You were deeply loyal to former President Jacob Zuma. Not for personal gain, but because you believed in the cause. Even when you were sidelined and delayed by MK Party gatekeepers, even when you were pushed away and treated unfairly, you remained loyal. You never turned your back. That is the character of a real revolutionary.
You struggled for real, my brother. You carried the pain of the people and never complained.
To his children, your father was a brave man who dedicated his life to a bigger cause. One day you will understand the depth of his sacrifice. Walk with pride because his name carries dignity and strength.
To his wife, you stood beside a man of the people. Your pain is heavy, but his legacy is powerful. History will honour him and through him, it will honour you.
To the Shezi family, the nation mourns with you. You have lost a pillar, but his spirit lives on in the struggle he never abandoned.
Rest in Power, Nkosentsha Shezi. Your contribution to Radical Economic Transformation will never be forgotten. The struggle continues, and we will carry your name forward.
