Afro Soul music group member Blaq Diamond’s Danya Devs is nursing a broken heart after the passing away of her mother.

According to Danya Devs statement, her mother passed away on Sunday night after a short illness.
Danya’s mother was laid to rest the following day on 16 February shortly after celebrating Valentines Day taking to his social media pages, the singer recently released his first solo album called Bayede wrote: “Yesterday was the hardest day of my life. We laid my mother to rest. I’m not someone who speaks too much, but I honoured her the only way I know how through song and through dance. That’s how she raised me. That’s how she understood me.

“During the service, Inkosi Mxolisi Buhlebezwe Wilson Xolo reminded me of something that stayed with me. I learned love from my parents. My father loved my mother sincerely and deeply. Even in her final days, he still remembered Valentine’s Day and brought her flowers, just two days before she passed. That kind of love is something I will carry with me forever,” he wrote.

Danya thanked his friends and family who showed up in numbers, who stood with him prayed with him, and lifted him when he felt weak .

“hank you. It means more than I can put into words. To my fans and supporters, please bear with me during this time. I am grieving, but I will try my best to continue giving you my art – the way my mother would have wanted. She believed in this journey. She saw a glimpse of what Bayede is becoming.
“In her honour, I will continue with the tour and upcoming media. We continue the Bayede journey together. I will see you in Cape Town on 28 February,” he wrote.
