The cat is finally out of the bag.
The bromance between SABC’s Ukhozi FM Tshatha Ngobe, Businessman Xolani Mcineka and award winning maskandi singer Khuzani Mpungose has ended.
The three alleged founders of the annual maskandi event called iMpucukuzeko are allegedly not seeing eye to eye after Tshatha doscovered that there two other partners were robbing him in terms of profit sharing.
This led to Tshatha to start his own Tshatha Music Festival which he first hosted last year in his home town in Nongoma in KwaZulu Natal (KZN).
MDN News tried in vain to get comment from the three associates since January but the calls were ignored. WhatsApp messages were sent but they were read with no response.
Close told MDN News that at the centre of this attention was Mcineka who is fingered as the greedy person.
“He used Tshatha to promote his events, at the end of the day it was Xolani and Khuzani who beneffitted mostly in Impucuzeko. It was unfair for them tonhave a bigger slice than Tshatha when he was the one who was promoting the show even Ukhozi FM,” the source said.
Another source said: “It is long overdue. For years we have been advising Tshatha to start his own events because Impucuzeko is owned by Xolani and Khuzani has the Gcwalisa Spring Picnic and both events Tshatha is always being hired as an MC. It is a good move that he has seen through them that they have been using him for years to benefit themselves.”
