February is a month of love and Singer and Actor Brian Temba will usher lovers into Valentine’s Day with a new single titled Rato Laka which will be released on Friday.

Temba’s Rato Laka which is written in Sotho will not be his first vernacular song as he has also relwased a Zulu written song called Zanele.
“I mainly sing in English, which can sometimes create distance, but this time I recorded a song in Sesotho the first one I’ve written in the language. Previously, I recorded an isiZulu song, Zanele, which became a major success. That experience confirmed that audiences respond when they hear themselves reflected in the music,” he said.
Explaining further the idea of Rato Laka which translates to My Love, Temba said:
“I’ve written countless love songs, but had never explored love in Sesotho. I wanted to understand how love sounds, feels and breathes in my mother tongue. Singing in Sesotho unlocked something incredibly powerful. It carries emotion differently. Love, in its truest form, is patient, enduring and intentional,” he said.
The tour kicks off in Johannesburg, followed by the North West, Bloemfontein and Limpopo all on February14.
